Description

Haselden started work on the Daily Mirror in January 1904, under its new editor, Hamilton Fyfe. At first Haselden drew single-frame political cartoons similar to the ones that he had produced for the Sovereign, but when the paper dropped its price to a halfpenny, and went for a more popular market, he began to experiment with subdivided images, and light social comment.
