The 43s were a bunch of mainly Jewish ex-servicemen who went around disrupting meetings by neo-fascist groups after the Second World War, much to the disapproval of the Jewish establishment, but with a fair bit of spontaneous support from ordinary people on the streets. The book is an account of what it was like to be in the group, and doesn't discuss the political issues at all, nor comment on the relevance today of what the 43s did, but it documents a little-known episode in the struggle against fascism, and it's a nice little tribute to the 43 Group.
